Vessel Description. The fishing vessel "Voyager"; is a European rigged pelagic mid water trawler of welded steel construction. The vessel features a raised foredeck with wheelhouse atop and an open work deck aft. Aft on the main deck is a large A-Frame structure with gallows port and starboard and hydraulic equipment and machinery spaced about on deck; The vessel has a raked stem, a square stern and the hull is of single hard chine design. The main deck is continuous, housing a storage space/ mechanical room forward followed by crew spaces and the lounge area with a watertight door leading aft to the work deck. Below the main deck are crew quarters forward followed by the galley with interior ladder to the main deck and access to the aft machinery deck, housing the hydraulic motor room, vacuum pumping system, refrigeration machinery room and spare generator room with air compressors. The internal hull is fitted with five transverse watertight bulkheads separating the vessel into a forepeak tank, sonar space, followed by the fore and aft fish tanks, engine room with port and starboard fuel tanks and the lazerette with fuel tanks port and starboard. The lazarette is accessed by a watertight door from the engine room. Access to the fish tanks are by means of raised coamings with steel covers from the main deck. An escape hatch to the main deck is located aft of the fish tanks. Vessel in full international classification "Hull and Machinery" |
